If you haven’t tasted BonChon Chicken yet, all I can say is, you SHOULD.
It’s very obvious what this post will be about. And I think by the end of this post, it will also be obvious how much a fan I am of this fastfood.
BonChon Chicken
Description: Korean fried chicken in soy garlic or spicy glaze
Price: PHP 145 (ricebox meals)
Serving: goood for 1 (emphasis on GOOD)
BonChon Chicken serves Korean fried chicken— wings, chops (breast), drum stick and thighs. Basically, it is fried chicken with popped skin (something about the way they cook/fry the chicken) covered in soy garlic or spicy glaze. It’s always hot, fresh and crispy ’cause they claim to cook it upon order. And I can attest to this, it’s hot and nice and awesome every single time. The soy garlic taste is subtle yet distinct at the same time if you want something hot, go with the spicy. It really is spicy, though. One of the best things in BonChon, is their iced tea. Very seldom do we find a combo meal wherein the drinks that comes with it is actually a drink! haha…It has the same taste as that of Wendy’s. All these just for the price of Php 150. NOT BAD!
Btw, they also sell it in boxes from 4 pcs to as much as 50 pcs. Click here for their full menu.
BonChon Bulgogi Wrap
Description: Korean BBQ beef in pita-like bread with kimchi and Korean mayo
Price: PHP 145 (ricebox meals)
Serving: goood for 1 (emphasis on GOOD)
This is another winner! For me, bulgogi is the Korean version of your Shawarma with a twist of kimchi and Korean mayo. It is light on the stomach just enough to fill you up and the taste is not overpowering even if there’s a kimchi component to it. According to Wikipedia,
The word Bulgogi literally means “fire meat” in Korean…Korean dish that usually consists of marinated barbecued beef, chicken or pork…
BonChon Bulgogi Rice
Description: rice topped with Korean BBQ beef
Price: PHP 145 (ricebox meals)
Serving: goood for 1
This your Bulgogi Wrap without the bread, the kimchi and the Korean mayo. So it’s totally different, actually. It’s just the BBQ beef on top of rice, just that. Sorry, I’m not much of a fan of this dish because it’s sooo much better with kimchi and the mayo.
BonChon Chicken Sandwich
Description: BonChon chicken chops (breast) with TLC in a bun
Price: PHP 145 (ricebox meals)
Serving: goood for 1
The taste is the same BonChon chicken taste. It can also be ordered in soy garlic or spicy glaze. What can I say? If you’re not in the mood for rice, this is a good alternative. But how could you not want rice with that savory, flavorful Korean fried chicken?
So I think you very well know how much we heart BonChon Chicken. Give it a try yourself! Its price range is also not that steep anyway. Right price, right taste.
