We are all been hit by the FroYo fever. A lot of froyo shops have opened here and there but there has been one that I’m dying to try– RED MANGO.
I wanted to try RED MANGO since they offer GREEN TEA FroYo (I’m not sure if this is available elsewhere). So when Deal Dozen offered a 50% off coupon, I grabbed it! (I literally had to monitor it and have a friend of mine order it for me since stocks are running out..hehehe)
So here’s the experience:
Frozen Yoghurt (Original and Green Tea flavor)
Type: dessert
Price: 4oz PHP 90 6oz PHP 130 8oz PHP 165 family size PHP 235
Serving: good for sharing
The picture above is family size; half original, half green tea. I’m in love with their green froyo! It’s not as sour as the original flavor and it has this subtle green tea taste. AMAZING! You can also add toppings from their wide selection.
Green Tea Blender
Type: smoothie
Price: PHP 125
Serving: 16oz
Their green tea blender is OK, not bad but not as good as Starbucks’ Green Tea Cream frapp. The green tea blender has a scoop of green tea froyo in it. nice, nice!
Blueberries n’ Cream Waffle
Type: waffle??? ahaha
Price: PHP 85 w/yoghurt PHP 125
Serving: good for 1
So the waffle is heart-shaped with blueberry, cream and froyo toppings. The waffle is good, creamy, moist and freshly made.
Green Tea Waffle
Type: waffle??? ahaha
Price: PHP 85 w/yoghurt PHP 125
Serving: good for 1
This one is different! Green tea powder is mixed into the waffle batter so the waffle actually has the taste of green tea. It is a bit bitter from the taste of tea but I love it! The taste is complemented by the sweet sauce with red beans. It also has froyo on top!
And oh, when we had the waffles in SM Mall of Asia branch, they are having a food photo shoot. The set was so elaborate and the camera that they used..I envy.. :))
Overall, the experience is good, the food is nice, but for me, it’s tooo pricey. If I haven’t got those GCs, I wouldn’t probably try it. (nagkukuripot lang..heheh) I think with this post, you can conclude that I love GREEN TEA. I think it’s an acquired taste from my stay in Japan.
